My Second Franken - Emerald City

Hello! :)  Here is my second franken. I was walking through Michael's craft store when I came across a package of multi colored hex glitters. I instantly thought of frankening my own creation while I wait for my invoice from Lynnderella. I'm actually in LOVE with what I came up with!  I named in Emerald City. I put it over 1 coat of Color Club's Artsy Craftsy which is also a great polish.

Side note - I'm also playing with where I take my photos. The first two photos are in my new spot, the second photos are where I normally take them. Thoughts? I'm really feeling the first two shots! I like the lighting, but is it too dark?

  1. OOH this is super gorgeous!! Perfect name too! I need a trip to Michael's methinks! :) Quick question though, do these glitters sink to the bottom or did you put something in the bottle to shake up the glitter? Thanks!

  2. That is an exquisite, creative franken! *wolf whistles* What did you use for the base?

  3. Hey! Before you go to Michaels....these bleed big time. I couldn't tell here because I used other greens as a base but I tried mixing blue & purple and within minutes the purple took over. These sunk as well, although for this franken I used just clear SH top coat in 1/2 the bottle. I tried them in Confetti Tiara, which I read was a good franken base on MUA and they still sunk :(

As a base I used a lot.....mainly Sinful Colors Call You Later, OPI Glow Up Already, Orly Here Comes Trouble, ChG Mistletoe Kisses and CC Untamed Luxury.

  6. They are Recollections. They come in a pack of 10(?) for around $12.00. I bought two sets, hex and bar glitter. They are gorgeous. They do bleed though.
