Twinsie Tuesday - Birthstone Color (Essie Cascade Cool)

Good Morning, ladies! This week the theme for Twinsie Tuesdays is our birthstone color. Since I'm an October baby, my birthstone is pink tourmaline. I went through a few of my polishes and picked Essie Cascade Cool for my mani. It turned out to be a pretty good match.

I used two easy coats of Essie Cascade Cool for the photos above. The formula is easy to work with and completely opaque in two coats. I topped it off with Seche Vite.

Remember to check out my Twinsies and their birthstone colors! :)

  6. I have never run into this shade from Essie - have to look it up and see if it was from their pro line. I also am an Oct b'day baby...did ya know originally our alternative birthstone was not pink tourmaline, but pink zircon? A # of the alternative birthstones have changed through the yrs. I still have my first pink zircon ring I was given - I don't like the setting but the stone is lovely. I adore opals but it's $$$ to get the great black opals now days from Australia. I have some stones my dad got when in Aus. during WWII. Off to check where/when this Essie shade came out - it's a great pink - not chalky looking at all.

  7. I remember when pink became my favorite color I wished my birthday was in October just so my birthstone would be pink. This is gorgeous!
