Essie Bobbing for Baubles

Hi all! I had Essie Bobbing for Baubles sitting there untried, and I decided before I purchased No More Film that I should try this one. Well, wearing this has me hoping that fall arrives sooner than later so I can break out my autumn/winter colors (I try to keep it seasonal). Fall is my absolute favorite season and I'm just about over summer by now.

Bobbing for Baubles is described by Essie's website as their 'deepest darkest sapphire.' This is a dusty navy blue creme with a touch of gray. It's dark, but you can tell that it's not black without having to stare at it. The formula was fantastic! It was opaque at one coat but even better at two. The photo below shows two coats of Bobbing for Baubles topped with Seche Vite...

Sorry I only have one picture today. I had dust issues, believe it or not. I took this one hours after all of the others so it was spared from looking like a mess lol

  3. I have this but never wear it because it's a mini and my brush is all weird and crooked so I can't apply it. So annoying. It's a really cool color:)

    1. I've never tried the mini bottles and brushes. That's a shame! I guess you could always use another brush if you had to :)

  4. Love this color! Now that I see it, I wonder how similar it is to Sinful Colors Rain Storm?

    1. I hate to be an enabler, but you need this one. It's quite different from Rain Storm. When I compare them side by side Rain Storm is lighter and more blue. Bobbing for Baubles is more of a dark dusty navy. I can swatch them if you want :)

  5. Bought this when it came out and never used it - I had so many navy's by then and still it sits in my untries. I need to go through all my way too big for me stash and thin everything waaaaay down...anyone interested in helping? I need homes for polish!

    1. Ugh! This is my problem as well. No matter how many polishes I have, I always find the need to purchase more. I like to justify that they are all a little different lol :)

    1. I'm glad you liked this one! I know the feeling; sometimes I feel guilty about my untrieds when I finally try them and love them. :)
